Zakia Ahmadzai

Zakia Ahmadzai is originally from Kabul, Afghanistan.  She fled her country after living through several years of war during the invasion by the former Soviet Union.  She has worked with refugees from many different countries and has been a mental therapist and outreach homeless coordinator for over 20 years. She joined Positive Force DC in 1996. She is a published poet and also wrote a zine called Screaming Goddess.
